On the one hand, it improves the efficiency. On the other hand, it will be a great loss to the national economy if the machines fail to function. Thus, we should monitor the key-parameters when the machines are running. It has been a general method at home and abroad that the standard module for monitoring has been set into the machine-control system to keep the consumers and the factories to know the working state of the machines and to make sure the system is going on well and reliable. Fault monitoring and diagnosis system has been developed into a multi-subject and multi-area integrated technology. A perfect state monitoring and fault diagnosis system can effectively avoid the fault of the machines, and improve the security and the efficiency. It will be a great help and supervision for the production. This article is based on the reasons above.Based on the general introduction of the remote monitoring technology, it adopts a scheme which is based on the tekecommunications of GPRS and WUXIASP Platform for the small and medium-sized factories. Besides this Web technology is also involved, there is a try to design the remote monitoring system on the basis of Internet which is based on the platform of .NET. At the beginning of the thesis, it describes the general scheme, functions and the methods of accomplishment. Secondly, it particularly introduces the details and the developments of the data acquisition module, data management module, remote monitoring module, and signal analysis module. Remote data acquisition module adopts the TCP/IP protocol, and it also uses Windows Sockets technology to found a virtual logistic channel to acquire datum. The design of it has been achieved based on VB6.0. The data management module is based on the model of E-R and carried out by MS SQL Server 2000 softwares. It also discusses the problems of datasheet, data relationship and safety of the database. Remote monitoring module is composed of active pages which are developed by ASP.NET technology used C# language. It mainly achieves the functions of login management, signal analysis, alarming record inquiry, report printing, and system management. Signal analysis module uses compressor as an application instance. Based on the research on the sampling point and signal analysis method of compressor fault signal, the thesis discusses the feasibility of the signal analysis project, based on Web, using MATLAB and Web Service.Then it makes some attempts on the project.The innovative point of the thesis is the combination of remote monitoring technology based on the internet and the ASP (Application Service Provider). It makes use of the WUXIASP Platform for the small and medium-sized factories of the 863 Plan, and offers the remote monitoring services for the small and medium-sized factories. It not only saves the cost of the server, but also reduces the difficulties of designing a remote monitoring system by themselves. Otherwise it also offers the perfect technical service and system maintenance by ASP. All of these promote the ability of small and medium-sized factories on the competitive market. This subject is imbursed by the items of six high level technologies of JIANGSU ministry of personnel.
