Research Of Water Resources' Bearing Capacity Of Liaoning Province

Water resources, as one of most significant factors that impact on natural environment and human existence, is a indispensable fundamental natural resource. As a severe water-shortage area, water resources have become a bottleneck that has influenced and will restrain the whole regional economy and sustainable development of Liaoning province. How to correctly evaluate and judge the water resources′bearing capacity of regional development in Liaoning province and, in turn, formulate the development strategies harmonious with water resources has significance for regulating the relationship between water resources and national economic development of Liaoning province.The main content of this paper is as follows. The first part, based on the data of social & economic development and water resources investigation in Liaoning province in 2000, adapted the quantitative method coupled with qualitative one to analyze the characteristics of social & economic development & water resources and the exploiting and using conditions, Finally, the main problems existing in the exploiting and using in Liaoning province and presented. The second part, based on analyzing the influential factors of water resources characteristics and water resources′bearing capacity, selected 13 main evaluation factors, used the main component analysis method to water resources′bearing capacity in 14 cities of Liaoning province in 2003. The third part, according to the evaluation result, put forward the relevant countermeasures to enhance the water resources′bearing capacity in Liaoning province.The result studying is indicated: Population is horizontal from Liaoning province come to say the whole province water resources′bearing capacity not admitting hoping for the best, that 5 cities water resources supporting capacity synthesis value all is smaller than 0.1, these the area water resources condition is relatively poor, water efficiency of using resources is not high, water resources control level is lower, water resources utilization is unreasonable, existence water resources′bearing capacity if the water waste of resources problem, not adjusting, definitely coming down.The results evidenced that it is feasible to put the main component analysis method into the analysis to the bearing capacity of water resources in Liaoning province. It can provide the quantitative forecast and optimization means to social & economic development and ecological environment protection etc. The paper also can provide certain references to the sustainable development and utilization of water resources in Liaoning province in the future.
