In order to satisfy the development of Chinese national economy and construction, Chinese railway has raised its moving operating speed of vehicles five times. It is necessary to raise the speed of freight transportation accordingly. The freight bogie that can satisfy the need of speeding is the key part.Comparison between the repairing, economic and function, three-pieced bogies do well in satisfying the raising speed of railway freight. It should be the direction. The cross rod bogie will efficiently improve the worn condition of the wheel flange in the service by means of adding the elastic cross rod device between two side frames, maintaining the relative proper position of two side frames in the service, increasing the anti-warp stiffness of the bogie, decreasing AOA between the wheel and rail.Since the frame brace device is to up-level the performance of anti-warp for the bogie as a key part with a bogie for safety operation in a grantee period, and the load for frame brace is of dynamic load during freight car operation, the manufacturing quality for frame brace is highly required,at the same time,cross-braced as the part have the Minimum distance between railway except for wheels,if it was wrong, will couse driving accident.This article is to confirm the corresponding factors for crack causing and during the fatigue life, through an analysis of cracks at fastening plate, welding seams at the end of frame brace. In the mean time carrying a research on the fatigue test condition, establish reasonable fatigue test to find the weak link of limiting the fatigue life. So it can provide a valid basis on improving the welding and assembling craft.The welding process is improved based on frame brace requirement, and some process parameters are confirmed after various tests. In order to verify process effectiveness, fatigue life analysis is performed for major welding seams, as well as lab fatigue test and actual operating test are performed. Finally it is proved that the welding process for frame brace is effective.Perfect the assembling craft and checking means of the cross-braced connection, reduce the effect on life by assembling reason.
