Active vibration control (AVC) employing smart structure concept is an important research field of vibration engneering, which shows great possibility in aerospace applications. And the miniaturization of the AVC now becomes an urgent demand for the modern industries, especially, for the aerspace engineering. This paper focuses on the integration and miniaturization of active vibration control smart structures, including the following research work1. Based on the principle of piezoelectric ceramic, a charge amplifier circuit is designed. The signal output of the piezoelectric sensor is transformed into the standard voltage signal adapt to A/D sampling.2. The features of the piezoelectric ceramic transformers are investigated. their basic characteristics are analyzed through experiments. A DC-DC conversion device is then developed using the piezoelectric transformer instead of the traditional one.3. Based on the principle of pulse-width modulation (PWM), switching power amplification circuits are designed, data-pulse-power-converter (DPPC) method is also explored. Afterwards, comparisons of the properties are made among the the DPPC based , the analog and the PWM power amplifiers.4. Through ADC module of DSP, A/D conversions of three channels of input signals are realized, by PWM channels of EV module, D/A conversion of three channels are completed as well.5. Three-input-three-output simplified FX_LMS (SFX_LMS) algorithm is investigated. The algorithm has such performances as needing less computation and not need of the plant model. Experiments show that the algorithm is effective in the miniaturized AVC system.6. A flexible cantilevered plate is used to verify the system. Vibration control experiments result in good vibration suppression of the plate, the feasibility of the control system is then proved.
