The dynamic load identification is one of important techniques in engineering application, which has developed quickly in recent years and developed a lot of new and feasible identifying methods. The paper do some primary research on identification of distributed load that act on two- dimension flat system using two-dimension orthogonal polynomial method. At first, this paper works out the two-dimension orthogonal polynomial, for providing a right condition to use this method in dynamic load identification, proves the character of this polynomial, orthogonal and convergence. The main thought of this method is that use two-dimension orthogonal polynomial to approach the distributed load then we can work out the coefficient of the polynomial with the information of the response on the measuring point of system and the character of the system itself. Furthermore, this method has no special require for the location of measuring point, and when the measuring-data is interfered by the noises, the method can also make effective identification, so it has adequate anti-interfere ability. At last, the research on the theory using frequency method and the computation simulations and experiment show that this identifying method is correct theoretically, effective and feasible in engineering practice as distributed load acts on flat system.
