Seepage channel has more and more been used in the water supply engineering, which becoming an important engineering of the city and the industry construction. The percolation filtration devices are fixed under the riverbed or alluvial flat to a certainty depth section that making use of the natural or artificial filter bed up on it. Handling the natural river water with own water-head by percolation filtration to gather the infiltration water perpendicularity. It is an unfull-flow filtration, which could purified water and scour sand synchronized operation and the clean and muddy water is separated at the meantime. The destination goal that making use of surface water resources as sources of commercial run and agricultural productivity and urban water directly has coming true. There is high popularize value for large acreage water-saving.The key that measuring the seepage channel success or not is that the water yield attains to design requirement or not. Several influencing factors upon the seepage channel that intaking surface water are formulated based on theoretical analysis combining the experiment, and the main research results are as follows:1.The discharge of the seepage channel with the same inverted filter is contrast researched while the open-channel flow is clear or muddy water. Diaphragm formed by the fine fraction of the silt carried by the open-channel flow falling and silting will result in coefficient of permeability reducing. This will affect the discharge of the seepage channel. And the incidence has a connection with thickness.2. Penetrability of the seepage channel is studied applying filtration theory through analyzing the stream current kinetic characteristic in the nature area of aquifer. Fluid mechanics equation about the interior pressure change during the seepage channel intaking water is established applying source-sink theory.3. Open-channel flow's sediment transport capacity causes the river-bed scouring and silting, which results in the coefficient of permeability changing is studied applying sediment movement mechanics. If the stream current could keep a given velocity that can push the silt in the open-channel flow forward to the lower reaches, which could prevent the inverted filter from silting-up and overhauling absolutely. This is very important to maintaining the structural stability of the seepage channel inverted filter.4. Physical dimension and inbuilt condition impact on the discharge of the seepage channel is further elaborated according to analyzing the most frequent equation used by seepage channel intaking water under the river-bed. Selection principle about physical dimension and inbuilt condition when designing the seepage channel is put forward in this paper.
