The water supply systems is one of most important infrastructures in the modern city ,and urban water supply network are an important part of the water supply systems. On one hand, urban water network is a bridge linkingwater-works with consumers. On the other hand, water network accounts for a large number of total water-supply systems budget, a Therefore, it is essential to optimizethe water network for reducing the paving.The optimization of water networks have conducted for the domestic and foreign many scholars .many kinds model which optimized for water networks are taked out. Thereby analysis of the optimal model and hydraulic conditions of waternetwork is important. On the basis of the existing achievements, this paper presents an kind of new optimized algorithm - particle groupalgorithm (PSO), carried on the optimized design to the pipe network.PSO is one kind based on the community wisdom new optimized algorithm,has the structure simply, is easy to understand, robustness strong,the convergence rate is quick and so on the merit, already succeededapplies to many continuous question optimized domain. Through when tocontinuously optimizes the question the optimized process carries onthe analysis to PSO, proposed will optimize when the iterative processwill divide into several stages, separately will establish thedifferent parameter, will be separated the optimized question forcontinuously will optimize the process, will apply the PSO algorithmthe pipe network to optimize, through calculated the example carried on the comparison with other stochastic algorithms, the partialoptimal solution which and according to will optimize when resultanalysis optimization pipe network obtains, has discovered the partialoptimal solution practical significance. Proposed: The union designspersonnel's practical experience, determined in advance in pipenetwork main pipeline and secondary length of pipe, enhances speedwhich restrains,and enables the algorithm to restrain to the actualfeasible solution.This article used C++ to establish for the water pipe network designoptimization procedure, and the project example which constructed forthe water pipe network carries on the examination through Chongqingsome county seat, obtained the successful application, the example hadproven PSO optimized the design when the pipe network, the convergencerate was quick, and could obtain "the optimal solution" feasiblily.The author also designed a little the shortcoming to the PSO optimization pipe network to carry on the analysis, to the new iteration method, research and so on parameter choice proposed thes uggestion, and put forward the proposal to the further research direction...
