As a fluid machine, ejector is widely applied in industries. Based on refer to abundant data about ejector, an ejector was designed to solve the deficiency of the chimney in the second rectify system of Shaoguan smelter. The study in this paper includes:(1) The structures were confirmed by the traditional method of ejector scheme when the entrainment ratio was 10 and 4. A two- dimension mathematic model which was suitable for exhaust ejector numerical simulation was set up. A reasonable hypothesis was used to make the mathematic model simple. The simulation result shows: the entrainment powers were larger than plan and the structure can be optimized.(2) Many numerical simulations were done when the measurements of the different part were changed. Effect of ejector structures on performance was analyzed. Through simulating exhaust ejector with different measurements, the relationships between the entrainment quantity and each measurement of the ejector were mastered. The measurements of the ejector's different parts were optimized. The decrease of the length was 24.5% compared with the measurement of entrainment ratio 4. The decrease of the mass flow was 56.4%.As a result, it is of signification for energy saves and structure optimization by means of numerical simulation.
