With the flourishing development of the communication of our country, long span bridges emerge in a large amount. The massive concrete bears platform, anchor spindle, tower are widely used in bridge engineering. The speed of sending out heat of cement is much higher than before which makes temperature crack problem of the massive concrete outstand day by day. The problem has become a universal problem. The heat of hydration that the massive concrete releases in the course of solidification will produce large temperature fluctuation and shrink which are main factor of the crack. This will influent globality of the structure foundation of the bridge, ability of waterproof and security and become the hidden danger of the bridge.Thus temperature monitor and crack control must be carried on when using massive concrete in bridge engineering.This paper introduced systematically the temperature control program and monitor analysis of the results on massive concrete construction of main tower bank pier of Huangpu Bridge. The project has carried out information-based construction through selection of low heat cement, incorporation of a large number of calx and fly ash ,cutting down hydration heat, setting the circulating cooling water pipes ,strict temperature control and conservation measures and real-time dynamic temperature monitoring. The monitoring provided the basis for heat and humidity conservation of concrete. After the concrete was moulded, the bank pier didn't appear crack. Practice show that the temperature control method is effective.The main research work of this paper includes such aspects:(1) This paper makes comprehensive narration of the development and application of massive concrete and analyses the reason of the crack and the measure of the crack control on the basis of summary achievement at present.(2) This paper considers the main influence factor of massive concrete temperature stress on the basis of heat-conduction basic principle. This paper aslo analyses the temperature function principle, temperature crack development mechanism, danger, method of crack control in massive concrete and summaries the choose of different calorifics indexes in massive concrete.(3) This paper studies temperature stress, the reason of crack and the measure of crack control from the aspects of ore powder from the raw materials of the concrete, match ratio, admixture, construction craft etc though the temperature control scheme and data analysis in massive concrete of Zhu Jiang River Huangpu suspension bridge.
