Stiffened plate and grillage have been widely and commonly appllied in ship structures. The buckling strength of ship structure has been paid more and more attention , with the trend of high-speed and lightness in the development of the ship,. The stability of ship structure, as one of the most important research objects in the design of ship structure, has been highly concerned by mechanic researchers. The compressive buckling strength of stiffened plate and stiffeners has become more and more interesting and attractive for designers, because of its status that is one of the main parts of ship structures, upper deck and bottom structure, and its effects which is relevant to the gross longitudinal strength of ship structure. Therefore, the research and discussion to the stability of stiffened plate and stiffeners are valuable for correctedly mastering the safety, economy and enough strength space of ship structures.In the analysis of the elastic local buckling strength of the stiffener's web, the elastic critical stress is analytically derived by solving the characteristic value problem involving the governing differential equation under the corresponding loading and boundary conditions in the use of Paik's.After summarizing the results of former researchers, analyze the tripping of thin-walled stiffeners in the axially compressed, for the buckling of the panel In the analysis of the elastic tripping of the stiffener, the critical stress under this mode of failure is derived by using the energy method and the principle of least potential energy.by the use of formulas of Hughes,CCS and Paik, a detailed analysis is carried out for the tripping stress of stiffeners, and the thesis gets some useful information and some valuable conclusions in the use of finite element calculation software through the comparison and analysis . The thesis gets a practical alternative formula to calculate tripping of stiffeners based on the Bleich' formula. The thesis also analyze the tripping of stiffeners under lateral pressure. On this basis, I gets a brief formula to calculate the buckling of T section stiffeners under lateral pressure.
