This dissetation has analysed engineering geology condition in differentgeographic location in Nanning, it has built eight kinds of stratigraphiccombination models according to the sextupole terrace along the YongJiangsince Anthropogene, and made an investigation on the constructionsfoundation that be constructed on these stratigraphic combination models, thenanalysed the present application of piles in Nanning.When the high-buildings were constructed on the representativeStratigraphic combination models in Nanning, because of the deepening of thebasement, meantime the round gravel bed is held as a force holding of the piles,pile length may cannot reach the request of the standard, but it would have a bigdifficulty that the pile cuts through the gravel layer, at the same time it alsobrings the cost question of project. In order to solve this problem, the dissetationcarried out the follow works.It made an investigation on the application of short pile home and abroad,summarized some definitions and concepts about short pile from differentcurrent specifications and regions, according to the studying datas and observation reporst of the piles that are exist, it carried out the analysis of shortpile's loading absorption and strength mechanism.Embarke from the concept of interactiont method, it introduced theinteraction method between high-building structure and the groundfoundation,according to massivescenes the-spot and observation materials, analysised theinteraction mechanism between high-building structure and pile raft foundation,thus analysed the interactiont of high building groundfoundation and short piles,solved this problem that basis of NanNing's stratigraphic combination models.
