The sliding bearing is one of important components which are widely used in themodern machine products. Its experiment system is widely applied in the teaching, thescientific research and the production department, and becomes the key factor whichis deciding the level of research and manufacture of sliding bearing in our country.Traditional experimental system is mostly mechanical and low efficiency andprecision. In recent years, some of the experimental systems with modern computertechnology, had the enhancement in the performance and the function, but also havequestions that in the hardware and the software aspect, structure is complex andreliability and stability are poor. Because of the deficiency of them researchperformance, Such systems are usually completed only demonstration experiment andunable to meet the needs of our personnel training, scientific research and production.This article developed an experiment system based on ARM-Linux combiningsliding bearing experiment system with computer and embedded system to fully exertthe points of the embedded system of high real-time, single-function. The systemadopt cost-efficient Samsung ARM9 chip $3C2410A as the hardware core, on basisof replanting embedded Linux to be operating system, which with friendlyman-machine mutual interface is small, light, low-cost, easy to operate, credibility andsignificative to national teaching, scientific research and Industrial manufacture.In this paper, the first things briefly introduced are the status of sliding bearingexperiment system, the definition of Embedded system and the research content andsignificance of the subject. Then, based on analysis to the system demand, the overalldesign is presented, and some details (including the design and implementation ofhardware, driver and application program, and the transplant of embedded Linuxoperating system) are further discussed. Finally, the experiment system is tested and aprospect of following work is given. The test result proved that this sliding bearingexperiment system has reliable performance, operates stably and can provide the richempirical data for the teaching experiment, the scientific research and the productionpractice. This system is an excellent sliding bearing experiment system.
