As a kind of common dynamic equipment, air compressor's noise danger to theenvironment is obvious and tremendous. Noise control to the air compressor is necessary andvery meaningful. This academic dissertation is about some research work on a type of aircompressor's inlet noise control.After the noise testing experiment on the air compressor, we draw the air compressor'sinlet noise equivalent sound pressure grade and 1/3 double frequently Cheng noisecharacteristic through experiment method. Through analyzing the noise characteristic and thecurrent noise reduction equipment (dissipative muffler), We proposed using optimum theoryand emulation method to optimize inlet silencer design and reduced the air compressor'snoise.After reading a mound of references, we classified and gathered the air compressor's typesand performance characteristics, and derived mathematical models of the phonon subduestructures respectively. Based on the analysis of the current dissipative muffler, we optimizedthe dissipative muffler's mathematical model by using the hereditary algorithm of many goals,and got the theory optimized answer. Based on the theory optimized answer, we emulated theoptimized dissipative muffler by using FEM and BEM and got the performance emulationanswer and the dissipative muffler's modes, then the dissipative muffler's primary design.After considering the actual working situation, we designed the fitted dissipative muffler forthe noise control of the air compressor. We experimented the dissipative muffler and got theresults. We optimized the dissipative muffler design further through analyzing the experimentresults and designed the new type of dissipative muffler which is suitable for the noise controlof the air compressor.The dissertation's content include acoustics theory, the most optimum method, finiteelement theory and calculation, boundary element theory and calculation, machinery design,machinery manufacture, metal material science and so on. We discussed many key points,such as signals separation and effective signal derivation in the noise testing, multiple objective function selection and multiple hereditary algorithm optimizing calculation;dissipative muffler's muffling performance emulation and so on. This dissertation proposedfeasible efficient convenient and reliable new design method for the air compressordissipative muffler's design. This dissertation is useful and meaningful for the air compressordissipative muffler's design and other kind of dissipative muffler's design.
