Foreign reform and opening policy implemented in china, the economics develop more and more quickly. Nowadays, many countries generally confront with energy deficiency. Therefore, it is important to manger electric power production and expense. Recently more and more steam turbines are used in many fields, research on turbine is imperative.Because the rotor is the most important in steam turbine, and change in temperature and stress will bring out the main damage, it must be accumulated gradually during processing in its life appraisal. Then, the calculation in temperature and stress field and research on fatigue damage and creep damage are very important. Based on temperature and stress field, the fatigue and creep strain can be studied thoroughly. Therefore, based on finite element, the paper proposes theoretically the approach, which used to calculate temperature field and stress field in rotor. As well, applied the calculation results, the work solved fatigue damage and creep strain damage. Finally, taking Anshan second power plant lunit steam turbine rotor for example, the result indicates that utilizes this kind of method to calculate the practical problem of the project is feasible.The article has completed many works, which show as follows. Educing the formula of the temperature radioactive coefficient on steam turbine rotor, and by FORTRAN, making up some procedures for calculating them; By ANSYS, calculating centrifugal force in impeller; calculating the change rule of temperature and thermal stress, raised during starting-up and shutdown by force; As for analysis of fatigue and creep damage, the weary number of times and percentage in creep damage of steam turbine rotor which are used for appraising the life-span are worked out respectively, then add up them to appraisal its life-span; During process of actual operation, inferring the main location, where the stress is concentrated, from the results, then, pointing out some significant suggestion to extend the operating life-span of steam turbine rotor.
