Modern cable-stayed bridges use prestressed concrete towers more and more. For the huge cable forces, the tower's anchorage zone in a PC tower therefore become one of the key structural components of a cable-stayed bridge in engineering design, in which stress distribution is rather complicated .A general plane analysis method is hard to reflect actual stress status. The thesis, based on the construction-in-progress PC cable stayed bridge in Jinsha River section of Xichang-Panzhihua Expressway, sets out to make brief introduction of the full-scale model test and test result of the cable tower anchorage area while carrying out detailed analysis of the 3D stress of cable tower anchorage area and comparing it with the model test value by adopting ANSYS 10.0 system. The optimal configuration of prestress tendons in anchorage zone, and the emulation effects of segment modal test to integral tower are investigated. Via detailed calculation and analysis of the bridge, conclusions and suggestions are gained hereby.
