Along with the arrival of the digital information in twenty-first century, camera imaging technology and structure has been wholly transformed. The traditional film photography and camera were gradually substituted by digital imaging technology and digital camera. As the top class of digital cameras, digital single-lens reflex(DSLR) camera leads at the frontline of the development in model optical, mechanical and electronical technologies.In this thesis, I firstly elaborate the study goal and significance for the electromagnetism controlled vertical walking single curtain focal-plane shutter to DSLR camera, as well as its brief content and the development in foreign DSLR camera and shutter technology. Then the relevant basic knowledge is introduced, which includes the classification of camera shutters, the meaning of some parameters, the design principles and work features of focal-plane shutter. The subsequent chapters specifically analyze the whole design requirements, design all functional components and determine the performance standard of the electromagnetism controlled vertical walking single curtain focal-plane shutter. Next are introduced the manufacture techniques and quality control points for various parts of the electromagnetism controlled vertical walking single curtain focal-plane shutter. Then a system analysis is performed for the assembling flow, essential and quality control points.Finally, the testing equipments and methods are presented and a conclusion is resulted from the testing data.
