Measurement is the key of industry production. Flow measurement is one important part of the science of measurement and it is related to the national economy and national defence. Doing this work better and improving the precision of measurement is very important to the quality of production and the development of science. Especially at the present age, when the robotization becomes higher and higher, the status and effect of flow measurement is more important than ever.During the using and international cooperation of energy sources, the demand of large flowmeter and calibration facility in our country is very necessary. The large caliber and high precision flowmeter and the correlative calibration facility is required in different kinds of large items. The present technic of flowmeter is limited on the large caliber and flow problems. According to the statistic, the loss of one large flowmeter, which is due to the error of measurement, is very large. So it is very important to exploit new kind of flowmeter, which is large caliber and high precision. And the exploitation of corresponding calibration facility is also necessary.The new large caliber gas flow calibration facility, which will be soluted in this paper, is the key technic in the world at present. So this work is very necessary.In this paper, we first analyse the feasibility of the spindle gas flow calibration facility and its precision in theory. Then we do the numerical simulation by using FLUENT software. At last, according to the result of the numerical simulation, we do the experiment to find the parameter of the spindle gas flow calibration facility.
