| The flow in a typical ramjet inlet was analyzed with two-dimensional numerical analyzer in this paper. The flow characteristics at different Mach numbers of inflow were discussed. With the decrease of Mach number of inflow, the mass flow ratio decreases and the total pressure recovery increases. When the Mach number of inflow decreases to a specific number, the ramjet inlet unstarts, and the mass flow ratio and the total pressure recovery fall sharply. When the inlet unstarts, there is a shock with the shape of"λ"in the front of the inlet.The influences of the ratio of the pressure ratio inner of compression to the pressure ratio of outer compression (IOR) on the performances of ramjet inlets were investigated. The result shows that the total pressure recovery at the designed condition first increases and then decreases with the increase of IOR. The maximum of pressure recovery appears when IOR is about 0.7, and the starting ability declines with the decrease of IOR.The effects of the pressure ratio at the throat section (PIt0) on the performances of ramjet inlets were investigated. We find with the decrease of PIt0 the starting ability of ramjet inlets declines and the maximum back pressure of ramjet inlets incline. At the same back pressure, the performance parameters of the ramjet inlets with different PIt0 are very near. |
