Research On Evaluation Of Expressway Asphalt Pavement Performance And Maintenance Method

Along with the social economic development, as the increase of volume traffic and heavy load, highway has widely appeared damaged phenomenon. Therefore, the maintenance and administration look especially important. But the costs in maintenance to input are limit annual. When it is less relatively, it's a requirement to consider how to allocate the finite fund to the most section of a highway that needs to be maintained mostly, and then the road service performance can hold an appropriate service level. Thus a rational, effective and correct pavement evaluation for road surface, the maintenance is most important.A new evaluation system based on matter elements analysis was developed for scientific and practicability of evaluation method. Applied results show that the model can meet actual condition and demand of pavement supervision. This method is reliable and can also be widely used in other fields.The text includes six sections. The first section is preface, which describes the purpose and importance of this research, and introduces the trend of the development of expressway maintenance in China and abroad in recent years; The second section analyses the disease of surface of the expressway asphalt pavement, and produces some effective treatments to the disease prevention; The third section analyses the assessment index and standard of the expressway asphalt pavement performance; The fourth section researches on the model for the full assessment of expressway asphalt pavement; The fifth section makes out Matter-elements-analysis method of evaluation for pavement performance; The sixth section studies the decision of maintenance method, the principles of the decision and pavement preventive maintenance (PPM).
