The seismic performance of the bridge can be improved significantly due to use of seismic isolation technology. Although,the seismic isolation technology and the seismic isolation devices have been widely used in bridge, Specific analysis are introduced to the specific bridge projects. The seismic isolation devices'serviceable range in bridge are not studied;The seismic performances of combination of the seismic isolation devices for the bridge are also not studied. Therefore, the studies of these two aspects should be carried out.In this paper, the mechanical nature and basic structure of rubber bearings and viscous liquid damper were discussed briefly; further studied on their effect of isolation for continuous bridge. The basic dynamic characteristics of the Continuous bridges were also discussed. The LUD (Lock-up Device) device which was used very few in the domestic was introduced in detail. The device's basic structure, mechanical principles, testing methods and application cases were introduced. The damping effects of the device for continuous bridge were studied; the advantages, disadvantages and application scope were analyzed. The mechanical properties of the rubber bearings, fluid viscous dampers, and LUD device were summed up and the effect of isolation of the continuous bridge were also generalized. The application effect of these three devices for continuous bridge were studied by the finite element program ANSYS. The pertinent documents and other information were referenced and the reasonable serviceable ranges of the three devices in the continuous bridge were summed up. Finally, combining characteristics of the three devices, the combined application were provided and the studies of the combination use of rubber bearings and viscous dampers, viscous dampers and LUD device, rubber bearings and viscous dampers and LUD devices were carried out. Finally, the effects of these three devices combined application were study and the reasonable serviceable ranges were summed up, which provides a reference to the practical projects.
