In this paper, finite element analysis is performed on T section buckling-restrained brace,so find out the weakness of the brace on the brace.A structural model of buckling-restrained braced frame is set up,and its seismic properties(including model analysis,time-istory and pushover analysis) with finite element software SAP2000.On the basis of calculation and analysis, the layout of buckling-restrained brace is optimized.Centered with this theme, following aspects are studied in this thesis.(1) Introduce the principle of work about the buckling-restrained brace and the stability theory.(2) The paper simulates the work process of T section buckling-restrained brace under monotony loading with finite element of software ANASYS.In this model ,it adopts contact element between the core steel member and concrete, and entirely glues between the weakness of the brace on the brace for the trial.(3) The layout of buckling-restrained braces will affect the seismic performen ce of the structure to extent.A structural model of 7-storey and 14-storey buckling-restrained bracedframe is set up,and its seismic properties are analyzed with finite element software SAP2000.The effect of the layout of braces on internal force, displacement,as well as other seismic responses are studied. On the basis of calculation and analysis, the influencing law of the layout forms on seismic behavior is also studied.(4) The pushover analysis on the structure is perfomed instead of the complex time-history analysis. The buckling-restrained brace frame is analyzed by the static pushover analysis method. It can show the actural yield mechanism and the appearance sequence and the rule of the hinge, find out the destruction process of the structure.
