Heat meter is a tool for heat consumption measurement in heating systems.As aimportant role in the reform process of domestic heat supply system, it definitelyowns a considerable emerging market.Flowrate metering is the most critical part in heat meter technology.The waterflowing in heating systems is hot and in small-flowrate status.There are much moreproblems with domestic systems,such as poor water quality and iron impurities.Allof these with the demestic market's low-cost requirement have greatly affected theflow measurement instruments used in the heat meter application.Based on such background, this paper first reviewed heat meter related issues,then explored the overall structure of heat meter, and in succession, made detailedanalyses of module design,including modules such as flowrate measurement,temperature measurement, heat integration and communication management.The main contributions of this paper are as follows:1. The feasibility of employing the fluidic flowmeter in heat meter system isdemonstrated based on the analysis of fluidic oscillation and heat meter'sspecial requirements in flowrate metering.2. Unsteady simulation analysis of fluidic oscillation in FLUENT is carriedon. Based on the simulation, optimal placements of different type of sensorsare proposed.Finally, experimental verification result is analyzed.3. A temperature measurement program is proposed,which is specilized formeeting the requirement of high accuracy in temperature differencemeasurement,and a low-power design of heat meter based on MSP430 isgiven.
