| Electric scooter is an ideal ride instead of walk tool for inconvenient active aged-elder,handicapped and housewives, which has stated consumer market as one branch of electric vehicle market in recent years. Steering-by-wire system which was developed in this thesis is one of the hardcore of electric scooter products.This thesis discussed the structural design method,control technology of electric scooter steering-by-wire system on the basis of researching and developing of independent rear-wheel DC motor driving control system with referencing to automobile steering-by-wire technology and method. Then the relevant software and hardware were developed and debugged. The main work can be described as the following items:â‘ Summarized and dissertated the development process and status of electric scooter as well as steering-by-wire technology used in automobile engineering field, clarified the necessary to develop steering-by-wire system for electric scooter.â‘¡Discussed the basal structure, working principle and method of steering-by-wire system for electric scooter.â‘¢Established mathematical model for electric scooter steering-by-wire system, deducted the system dynamics equation and steering-by-wire equation.â‘£Developed independent rear-wheel DC motor PWM driving electrical control system, accomplished relevant design creation of PCB board and welded interrelated electric component, developed software for electric scooter driving control system based on MCU dsPIC30F6010 integrated development environment. Finally, the software and hardware of driving control system were well debugged, and the feasibility of steering-by-wire system applied in electric scooter was validated.Aforementioned research and practice make great efforts to develop new-style electric scooter, to some extent, it obtained the effect up to the anticipative aim.
