Application And Study Of Blasting Lime Pile Method In Treatment Of Soft Ground

Distributed widely in our country, soft soil has the characteristics oflow shearing strength, large deformation. If soft soil was treated inmistake way, foundation would come into being local shear failure orgeneral-shear failure. For ensuring the safety of superstructure, it isimportant to treat soft ground. The technique of the blasting lime pile isone of treating technologies of soft ground presently. The blasting limepile has the advantages of low cost, fast speed and is not liable to beaffected by the external condition, and the method is suitable to use inmulti-stratum and construction environment.The lime as a kind of old construction material, its producing areasare nationwide. The lime is also a kind of cheap construction material.Because the blasting lime pile has good physical and chemicalstabilization function and induration mechanism under water. So thepurpose of this article is to continue studying and solving the problemsexist in the engineering application, and play the its role.The background of this paper is using of the blasting lime pile treatsoft ground. Following conclusions are obtained.(1) Reviews and summarizes the general conditions of developmentand present conditions of blasting lime pile in our country and othercountries. Discusses the principles, advantages and disadvantages as wellas flexibilities of the common measure of soft ground in small area.(2) This paper analysis the reinforcement mechanism, includephysical effect and chemical effect of the blasting lime pile. The materialcharacter of lime used in this experiment were analysed too. Through soiltest in the lab and static loading test, the relation between the rate ofdilatability and time, the rate of lime mixture, the relation between thepressure of pile and time, the rate of lime mixture, the relation betweenthe bearing capacity of the composite foundation and time, were analysed.Combined with the actual project experiment, the reinforcementmechanism and main factor were analysed. This may provide usefulreference to actual projects in this field.(3) Through local test, the static loading test of blasting lime pilecomposite foundation, the stress distribution and the pile/soil stress were test and analysed. The beating capacity calculate and deformationcalculate were brief analysed and compared. This may provide usefulreference to the design and construct technology of the blasting limepile composite foundation(4) The characteristics of construction technique was discussed incombination with the actual project, and the reinforcement effect wasanalyzed through several measuring ways. The analysis combine with therequire of actual project, not only can resolve the fact question of project,but also can summary the testing production and experience of project intime. This may provide useful reference to similar projects in this field.
