In the Steel-Concrete Composite Structures, two different kinds of materials reinforce each other and which makes a series of advantages. The researches on Steel Tube Confined Concrete and Steel reinforced Concrete have grown up. Steel Tube Confined Concrete and Steel reinforced Concrete has each own advantages and disadvantages. Steel Reinforced-Steel Tube Confined Concrete Composite Column as a new type of load bearing composite column is made by setting crisscross steel in the Steel Tube Confined Concrete. The experiment and theory show that this composite column has the advantages of both Steel Tube Confined Concrete Column and Steel reinforced Concrete Column. This method can improve the bearing strength of column and restrain the development of shear diagonal crack in high strength concrete, and which improve the ductility of the column and avoid collapse of the structure. So this type of composite column is adapted to be used in the structures in the areas with high earthquake intensity. There is a father study on the compressive strength of Steel Reinforced-Steel Tube Confined Concrete Composite Column in this paper on the basis of the experiment study in the literature [38],[42].The main research contents of this paper include:1. The history and actuality of research on Steel-Concrete Composite Column is reviewed, and a series of calculation methods of compressive strength of Steel-Concrete Composite Column are presented in this paper.2. The simplified model for the calculation of bearing strength of Steel Reinforced- Steel Tube Confined Concrete short Column is presented in this paper. The calculation equation for the limited bearing strength of axial compressive short column is deduced. The parameters in the equation are estimate by the compare to the experiment results in literature [38].3. The concept of slenderness is adopted to Steel Reinforced-Steel Tube Confined Concrete long Column according to the method of Virdy and Bowling and evaluation equation for the bearing strength of Steel Reinforced- Steel Tube Confined Concrete long Column. Evaluation method for Flexural stiffness of Steel Reinforced- Steel Tube Confined Concrete long Column is presented by the comparison to the experiment results in literature [38].4. The N - M curve for Steel Reinforced-Steel Tube Confined Concrete is presented by accumulation theory on the basis of N - M curve for Steel Tube Confined Concrete. Some calculation equations for the compressive strength of Steel Reinforced-Steel Tube Confined Concrete is presented. And then the most rational equation is determined by the comparison to numerical analysis. 5. The flexural strength of Steel Reinforced-Steel Tube Confined Concrete Composite Column is considered as a special condition of the compressive strength of the column. And the calculation equation for the flexural strength of Steel Reinforced-Steel Tube Confined Concrete Composite Column is obtained on the basis of the calculation equation for the compressive strength. This equation is examined by the comparison to the experiment results in literature [42].
