With the development of the electric railway,the proportion of the tractive load in the load of Power System grows incresingly,and the effection of the operation of tractive load on the common electricity network becomes gradual serious.The modeling of tractive load in the electric railway has been the important content in the aggregate load modeling in Power System,the corresponding acquisition and processing system is the vital device for technical support.The paper makes use of the advanced result of computer and the digital signal processor.Based on the multi-function DSP board,it develops the load characteristic recorder for tractive transformer substation,proposes the design plan for load characteristic recorder that is fit for the tractive transfomer substation,selects the right components,and finishes the design of the main circuit. The device works in the way of sampling at the same time and disposing at the different time. By using the simple-structure,high-speed,high-reliability,great-capability and reusable of CPLD, the paper achieves the control of the sampling and switching of analog to digital that needs strict scheduling and logical;at the same time,it completes the design of control circuit and the compiling of the control software. The communication between prepositive data acquisition device and postpositve processor are connected by the USB interface, the device solves the reliable and real-time transmission between the prepositive data acquisition device and postpositve processor by using of the superiority of the USB extenal equipment that is easy to operate and extend, simple-standard of connecting,and the superiority of USB that is high-speed,drawing and inserting at random. After finishing the device mentioned above,the paper testifies the feasible of the plan and the correctness of the operation of the whole device by simulating the circuit and testing the whole hardware.The structure of the hardware and software of the device that designed in this paper follows the principle of modularization and currency,obligates the interfaces of accessaries for hardware and the interfaces for controlling and disposing software, brings out the principle and the plan for software of the load characteristic recorder.The device could apply not only in tractive transform substation,but also in common power system.
