Researches On Shape Optimization Of Arch Dams With Cubic Spline Arch Ring Based On APDL

Arch dam is a very important dam style, it is famous of reasonable structure and graceful shape. Recently, arch dam has been paid more and more attention, and has been applied more and more widely. Based on APDL (ANSYS Parametric Design Language), the shape optimization of arch dams with cubic spline arch ring is studied in this dissertation. The main points are as follows:In chapter 1, the development of arch dams construction is briefly introduced, and the state-of-the-art of shape optimization of arch dams is summarized from geometry model, optimal design model and optimization methods.In chapter 2, basic theory and solution methods of interpolation functions of cubic spline are introduced. Construction method of the shape of arch dams based on cubic spline interpolation is brought forward. Then, the mathematic model of shape optimization of arch dams with cubic spline arch ring is established.In chapter 3, basic theory of finite element analysis of arch dams and the calculation method of equivalent stress of FEM are discussed. The method of modeling and structural analysis of arch dams based on APDL is presented. The structural analysis on Baihetan arch dam is put forward as an example and some reasonable results are obtained.In chapter 4, basic theory and methods of genetic algorithm are discussed. An accelerated micro-genetic algorithm is proposed for the optimization of structures, some examples demonstrate good performance of the new algorithm.In chapter 5, the shape optimization of Baihetan arch dam with single objective and multi-objective are studied. An Game Theory-based method is proposed for the Multi-objective optimization of arch dam shape, and the corresponding computer program is also completed.Finally, some problems which need to be studied further are discussed.
