With the development of social economy and scientific technology, our country electrical network scale and load ability is in unceasing enhancement, the electrical network stable question appears in its safe operation is more and more importantly. Because in the long distance alternating current transmission, the stable question which caused by the line reactance has limited the electric transmission power, but the direct current transmission only exists the resistance's active component, so the direct current transmission has the remarkable superiority in aspect of the electric transmission' stability, so the corresponding convertor station construction is more and more. The convertor station is one of critical facilities in direct current transmission engineering construction. Because the special request of the convertor equipment especially the convertor valve group toward to the working conditions and the earthquake resistance, causes the earthquake resistance performance requirement of valve hall which is the convertor station's master control building is extremely strict. So this article take the actual project about convertor station which is being constructed as a background, and is attempting to carry on some theoretical analysis and the actual research which contraposes the earthquake resistance capability and the reliability design of valve hall.The present paper does the main work has:1. Carrying on the simplification to the valve hall structure, considering that uses two kinds of simplification structures about the single pendulum and the spring oscillato. After that, using the structure analysis theory and finite element analysis software ANSYS and LS-DYNA analyzes and calculates the internal force and distortion of the simplification model of valve hall structure before and after hanging up the valve group, carrying on the finite element analog computation to the stress condition of under the earthquake function. Finally, under the earthquake function, carrying on the calculation about the horizontal earthquake load and the vertical earthquake load with the structure principle of dynamics, considering the earthquake respond finite element computation simulation of valve hall structure with the mutual coupling function about the vibration of convertor valve group and the vibration of bearing structure, and influence of the structure's earthquake respond by the suspension way of the valve group. Then we will have a comprehensive cognition to the structure reaction.2. Carrying on the vibration characteristic test to valve hall structure by separately going to the convertor station which is being constructed before and after hanging up the valve group, selecting four steel roof frames in the test process, carrying on the vibration test to three positions which are the left side span, the mid-span, the right side span of the roof frame, gathering the wave of speed and acceleration when valve hall is vibrating; Then, carrying on the frequency chart analysis to the gathered data to obtain the e vibration characteristic of valve hall structure.3. Combining the theoretical analysis calculation and the scene vibration test result, to obtain the first step base frequency of valve hall structure by researching with two methods. The contrastive result can provide the theory basis for the analysis of valve hall structure vibration characteristic and design of earthquake resistance...
