With the diesel engine technology developing, more requirements have been put forward to the fuel injection system. Adopting electronic fuel injection is the developing trend of diesel technology. The electronically controlled common rail fuel injection system come out in the last 90s, discarded the traditional mechanical system and set up an injection system in a thoroughly novel concept. It develops quickly and represents the direction of the fuel injection system.The control of fuel injection variation and quantity can be optimized in use of the electronic control technology in the diesel fuel injection system. The fuel quantity of the premixed combustion and diffusion combustion can be regulated. This technology can make the diesel economical and reduce the noise, which is one of the most effective methods to improve the diesel performance and decrease the exhaust emission. The electronically-controlled fuel injection system is a production according to rational configuration parameters obtained from the further analysis based on experimental data after the fuel injector structure and injection variation had been tested and studied.So it is necessary for establishing the optimal control strategy of injector's injection variation to set up measuring-controlling conditions, to get injection data and to apply the meassuring apparatus.In our work, we aimed to develop a suit of injection-variation-meassuring instrument for diesel injector's injection variation which was a mechatronic system based on embedded ARM-Linux operation system and made up of mechanical-hydraulic complex unit and electronic module.In order to achieve the designed function, the pressure simulation environment in diesel blast chamber has been established as the conditions to meassure injection variation in use of hydraulic system function. The diesel oil was taken as actuating medium for the mechanical-hydraulic unit. This system unit was based on injection-variation-meassuring principle reported by W. Zeuch. The electronic unit hardware system was based on the ARM-Xscale Pxa270 CPU framework and the PC104 bus model. It adopted multi-sensor, A/D, D/A electrical circuit as sampling and controlling unit. It also carried out the GUI function by ARM-Linux operating system.In conclusion, we aimed to set up a suit of injection-variation-meassuring instrument controlled by embedded system and independent on PC. In this work, we also establish an injection-variation-meassuring platform to lay a foundation for further research and to supply the valuable experience for instrument-performance improvement.
