Many structures often suffer from blast wave in modern military and civil engineering. Blast wave has characteristics of high initial value, fast decline and short duration that differ from other dynamic loads, so the transient dynamic response analysis of structures under blast wave is very valuable in practice. In this paper, the methods of transient response analysis with different advantages and disadvantages are broadly investigated. On this basis, the distributed transfer function method (DTFM) is used to theoretically analyse the transient response of simple structures such as beam, plate and cylindrical shell under blast wave. And Arbitrary Lagrange Euler Coupling Method and nonlinear finite element technology are used to simulate the transient response of escape spacecraft under blast wave. The main original work includes:1. The transient response of beam under blast wave is obtained by DTFM and Crump method which is a numerical inversion of Laplace transform. The validity, advantages and examples are analysed .2. Differ from traditional strip distributed transfer function method, in this paper, DTFM combined with Galerkin method is adopted to get the transient response of plate under blast wave. DTFM in the solving time domain response is extended into two dimensional structures. Finally some examples are discussed.3. DTFM combined with Fourier series is used to analyse the transient response of cylindrical shell under plane blast wave. The effects of different factors on the response are discussed and some valuable conclusions are got.4. The most dangerous condition of escape spacecraft under liquid rocket blast wave is obtained, and the equivalent calculative model of escape spacecraft under blast wave is proposed. Arbitrary Lagrange Euler Coupling Method is used to simulate the transient response of escape spacecraft under blast wave in MSC.Dytran, and the results are discussed finally.
