This thesis is on the basis of the thing that the geological engineering conditions of damsite district of Miaowei hydropower station is studied, through analysed the character of rock mass structure,the basic character of toppling deformation rock mass and the grade of toppling fracture measure of damsite district, calculate models in number value which sets up the dam abutmet rock mass, the stress,strain and development that destroyed under of the simulation dam abutmet rock mass is natural and excavating, then quantitative appraise the stability of the rock mass on dam abutmet. There are the following aspects mainly to study progress in thesis.(1) After the questions , such as development feature of the phenomenon that the failure by rapture to the rock mass of damsite district, forming the condition and mechanics mechanism ,etc. have carried on comparatively deep analysis and research, the phenomenon that the failure by rapture to the rock mass shears to move by mistake in story to draw intraformational shear faulted bedding,intraformational tensile cracking,intersecting fracture tension-shear cracking,break-tensile fracture,low angle shear sliding 5 kinds etc..(2) It is extremely complicated of the phenomenon that the failure by rapture to the rock mass of damsite district, survey and study after analysing in systematic geological record of carrying on,make the complicated phenomenon that the failure by rapture to the rock mass of damsite district to can be summed up for continuous toppling,toppling bend and toppling of break off 3 kinds of basic forms of breaking etc. in succession.(3) This thesis is on the basis of the thing that the rock mass makes the phenomenon that the failure by rapture with admiration and investigates and cracking the type to study, further analysis of interreaction while deforming through cracking to all kinds of, have made overwhelmed with admiration the forming and development out of shape of faint toppling intraformational shear faulted bedding,strong toppling intersecting fracture tension-shear cracking,strong toppling break-tensile fracture,more stronger toppling intraformational tensile cracking 4 kinds etc.(4) Follow the relation among the style of exhibit,mechanics mechanism and the toppling degree of the complicated phenomenon that the failure by rupture of rock mass, divides into extremely strong , strong and weak three kinds of different ranks of toppling over etc. On this basis, pass the angle of inclination change of rock stratum correctly,draw the tensor the most largly in layer,the unit draws the tensor in layer,toppling unloading surveying and statistical analysis which carries on one's shoulder or back six basic indexes,the weathering characteristic of toppling rock mass,characteristic of speed of wave of toppling rock mass ,etc. set up rock mass and pour out the hierarchical system of degree out of shape. In view of the above , topple over to rock mass out of shape to grade.On the basis of the above research , use the two-dimentional finite element and the analysis method of the limit equilibrium, to the dam abutmet rock mass stress,characteristics and stability question under various kinds of operating mode conditions of two kinds of schemes of the section concrete face rock-fill dam (â…¡-â…¡'the profile ) and the clay core type rock-fill dam (â…©-â…©'the profile ), have carried on comparatively deep analysis. clay core type rock-fill dam scheme suitable research conclusion.
