Taken a double hull oil tanker for example, the ship structural strength finite elements analysis for midship three cargo holds based on CSR is carried out in this thesis. Sixteen combinations of seven loading conditions and six dynamic loading types are analysed, and the detailed results of structural strength finite element analysis are given in the thesis.The local fine mesh FE analysis of structural details under the representative loading condition is also carried out.With two kinds of mesh size in the fine mesh zones, two FE models are made to evaluate the hot spot stress of the hopper knuckle connection, and the conclusion of a better mesh size for the structures of the hopper knuckle connection to promote the precision of fatigue life assessment is drawn from the research work.The ship structural strength finite elements analysis of a double hull oil tanker is carried out, which has the instructive meaning for the ship strength analysis with the help of CSR; the fatigue life of the hopper knuckle connections with two kinds of fine mesh size is evaluated, whose results has the comparative meaning. Also the detailed analysis results of structural strength and fatigue are given in the thesis, which has the meaning of reference and instruction.
