Surface ships are facing severer and severer living environment nowadays, and their safety when subjected to the attack from underwater weapons has attracted great attention. In the design of ships, some methods were used to improve the battle capability of the ship, such as changing the boards' structure, building local safeguard, using high quality and high strength steel. These methods were applied in the design of ships to improve the battle capability of the ship.Safety of ship trunk and multilayer shipboard defending structure are checked by numerical methods in this dissertation when they are suffering from underwater explosion ,in order to provide reference for the checkout manners of ship structure.Firstly, we use the large finite element analysis software ANSYS and ABAQUS to simulate ship trunk structure and the condition of underwater explosion. The condition is validated by the natural frequency.Secondly, numerical experimentations on surface ships and trunk structure applied to non-contact underwater explosion are conducted in numerical methods. Damage radiu of the warship and trunk structure are obtained by setting a number of conditions.Thirdly, the effect of damage sequence of ship trunk structure on the ship's vitality can be getted by comparing all the damage radiu. Therefore, it is able to judge the damage degrade and damage regions in different detonation ranges. It is instructive for the engineering application, and referable for the estimate of the warship's vitality.Finally, we make a reseach on multilayer shipboard defending structure of underwater explosion and the shipboard defending structure is improved. It offer the method of optimizing Y type structure and equivalent structure of rib. The numerical results are effective. The Y type structure and equivalent structure of rib improve the ability of multilayer shipboard defending structure. It's helpful for designing multilayer shipboard defending structure.
