| Bearing is one of main friction pairs of engine, and its lubrication performance has an important influence on working condition of the engine. Small end bearing of connecting rod, which connects piston and connecting rod directly, has great effect on lubrication property of engine.At first, this paper analyses the movement and stress of the bearing and finds out the nodus of the bearing lubrication. The emphasis is on what working condition can make the bearing have better lubrication properties, and the nodus is the squeeze action must be considered in lubrication analysis because the bearing has zero velocity points during in a movement period.Combining the movement characteristics of the piston pin bearing with the average flow model, an analytical model is established which can be solved using finite difference method, the lubrication properties of the small end bearing of connecting rod is studied. The variation of oil film thickness, pressure distribution, load-carrying capacity of asperity contact, locus of shaft center and friction force are simulated, The influence of surface roughness and bearing clearance on the bearing lubrication is discussed, and the optimum bearing clearance is determined.At last, in order to verify the correctness of the theory computing method, a lubrication experiment about journal bearing is carried out; the theoretical results are consistent with the experimental data. |
