| The steel silo applies in many fields for dispersed material storage. Opposite to the traditional reinforced concrete silo, it has many merits such as simple constitution, the short cycle of construction, the quickly effective investment and so on. The steel silo applies in many fields.In our country, reinforced concrete silo applies extensively and corresponding design code has been made: design code of reinforced concrete silo. But this theory can not meet current needs. And there is not corresponding design code of steel silo. As a screw thin shell, the stress and destructive criterion of the steel silo is very complex. Although many research organization and higher college have been working for the steel silo and corresponding specification was made in design code of reinforced concrete silo. But to the question of the whole stress behavior of the steel silo and the location of stress concentration, there are no any specific define, which bring inconvenience for designers. The last study focused on the regular steel silo, and study of irregular was few. In addition, seismic, as a nature catastrophic, impacts on steel silo very much. In our design code of gain steel plate, silo is seen as overhanging structure. And seismic function carries on the computation with the base sheer method or the vibration correlation research obtains. But this method, for little ratio of slenderness, dissatisfies with calculation of structure.In this paper, firstly, using finite element program of ANSYS, stress, stain and displacement on regular steel silo and irregular steel silo were calculated, background on several steel coal hopper in current engineering. Secondly, steel coal hopper was lay on the whole structure for the study of stress behavior acting on earthquake. The weak location of structure was founded, which provides data supports for designer. Earthquake wave of EI-Centro was carried in program. History analysis was carried out for thin silo and the significant collusion was obtained. In attention, the priority of several treatments of vibration displacement is compared, which provides reference for designer. |
