TPIH(Tube-bending Process Using Local Induction Heating), used as a new process method to prevent the producing of unequal distribution of the wall and ovality in the tube, has been widely applied in fields of petroleum chemical industry, light industry, pipe engineering, aeronautics and astronauts industries, etc.. Nowadays though the theory of TPIH has been studied for many years, the TPIH parameters from the theory are corresponding to reality, which would cause its equipment too bid. TPIH is one of the most advanced processes to produce bending pipe. The bending of auto frame cantilever is researched by this process. Computer numerical simulation of this process based on 3D-FEM makes it possible to obtain the process parameters suit to practice. In this dissertation, using a method of computer numerical simulation combined with theoretical analysis, computer numerical simulation of TPIH has been carried out. A brief introduction to the project and its main results are as follows:Over all considering the feature of the force from two couple support wheels some formulas of calculating the push force, support force and moment of TPIH have been concluded.According to loading and deformation features of TPIH, simplify the numerical model. Using the contact analysis, the various areas are defined by 3D solid element and surfaces in FEA model. The temperature field is assumed to be body load. A mechanical model corresponding to reality has been established for numerical simulation.Based on the above, the 3D FEM numerical simulation of TPIH has been carried out by using the Marc program.The trend and valve of the push force, ratio of thickness reduction and total equivalent plastic strain distribution has been found.Base on the results of computer numerical simulation and the main flaws of tube-bending, change the parameters such as temperature and width of deformation range, pipe thickness relative feed coefficient and so on. And obtain the influence of each parameter on the forming, including corrugation tendency of the pressing side under the different process parameter condition, as well as ratio of thickness reduction of the expending side and so on .The theoretical model was applied to the optimum of TPIH and equipment parameters. And summarize the influence of various parameters to TPIH quality. As well as confirm the theory formula of thrust force.
