A relay protection simulation platform with graphical interfaces is put forward and developed in this paper in view of the inadequacy of existing relay simulation platform, which can form closed-loop simulation with programs for simulation on electric system primary system. This simulation platform was been developed with the tool VC++, and the object-oriented technology. And it has friendly visual operation interface. The simulation algorithm library was prepared independently of the platform, so that it has well portability and scalability. Settings and other parameters of relay protection models were stored in database tables, so they can be input easily. Data produced by simulation programs for electric system primary system, was stored in specific database tables, and then be picked-up and used by the simulation platform. Thus, the closed-loop simulation was set up.
