Crushed-stone pile has been used to reinforce soft-soil ground base since 1960's last century ,Especially since reforming and opening various forms of composite ground bases have been widely used ,the writer of the Paper clearly understand that the technique of composite ground base has widely used future on the basis of taking Part in the practice of cast-in-site thin-wall pipe pile (the study of construction and site testing ) and of studying main reference literatures on new available composite ground base , however, the theory of that is still in a new developing concept, for this reason, the Paper begins with the talking about the knowledge of the composite ground base which the writer himself knows, and the Paper will be ended by talking about composite ground base which should be further studied. We still have a lot of work to do about the theory of developing composite ground base theory.On the basis of a correct knowledge to the concept of composite ground base and the review to the theory of traditional composite base, the Paper has carried practically and valuably systematic summary to the pile composite ground base design and calculation .the Paper has also analysed the design train of thought to the pile composite ground base by combining with experience in the construction and test which the writer has personally taken Part in closely following , through constructing examples which the writer took Part in ,the constructing experience ,completion and acceptance and quality control measures for thin-wall pipe pile .Bearing caPacity and settlement of bridge head soft base reinforcement of ***bridge have also been calculated .Finally ,the writer briefly introduced the achievements that were carried in the field test research which can provide the later design and construction with better service .
