With the continuous and fast develop of e national economy, the development of market economy become more and more mature. The application domain of steel structure has great broadened. Undoubtedly, steel structure will become a chief opponent larch rival of reinforced concrete structure. The problem of secondary stress of steel structure is solved in actual project only on that stress of steel structure is set to particular value, so steel structure seems spectrally inappropriate in some characteristic structures of universal application. Such as in structure of steel roof frame with a great span. The great destruction of steel structure is due to oversized secondary stress which causes the stable failure damage.The article is based on above background. It takes the structure of steel roof frame of the most commonly used 30m span, as the object of research. It simulates the secondary stress of steel structure by adopting the APDL language procedure programming of universal commercial-used finity element procedure. Owing to consider and complex factors which affects the secondary stress of steel structure. I'd like to simplify the problem to simulate whether to consider the bending influence by establishing different unit model structure. After the careful arrangement and analysis, the main conclusion I come to is: The secondary stress of steel structure has slight effect on axle strength, which classical theory matching the case. However, the secondary stress surpasses the standard limit value of principal stress by percent 20 in most cases. So, the practice, which standard adopts by limits its value and neglecting its partial existence, is worth discussing.The ant colony algorithm emerged in the recent decade and it is a kind of intelligent algorithm causing wide attention. The application scope of ant colony algorithm has extended to every field, although only few are applied in the civil engineering. Just as other intelligent algorithm, the ant group algorithm does not require concrete description of mathematics expression description, for unsolved problem. It searches and finds the solution according to its own algorithm principle. Thus, the ant group algorithm is very suitable to solve the problem of secondary stress. The advantage of ant colony algorithm over the other algorithm mainly lies in its obvious and quick convergence rate, its high accuracy.Based on above statement, this article attempts to introduce ant group algorithm into the project of civil engineering structural. Firstly, by adopting the self-mode procedure of ant colony algorithm and carrying on the value experiment. I find a group of more appropriate parameter combination. Hear after, I carry on the inversion analysis to the secondary steel stress structure through the help of combination. My analysis foundation is based on the analysis of limited New Year's Day develops the analysis in above chapter. Finally, I carry on the structureoptimization to two more typical steel frame structures. Through the above analysis, I come to the conclusion that the ant group algorithm has prosperous future in the application in the civil engineering application, and also the parameter combination I get is more appropriate.Base on above ansyssis, I get a group of reasonable parameter combination of ACA in structure engineering. After experiment, I find that ACA will have a broad future in the the filed of structure engineering, precisely a brand-new future in that field. So, Ant Colony Algorithmic is practical and significant in the actual use.
