Research On New Design Method Of Off-road Micro Vehicle

China is the largest producer of off-road micro vehicle in the world, however, its obslete model, poor quality and lacking intellectual property rights result in the absence of competitiveness. Currently, the design of off-road micro vehicle completely copies the design methods of large-passenger vehicle, which is far better than the former concering the quality and design. In this case, the strict restriction and high expense seriously impedes the development of off-road micro vehicle. Therefore, to find a design method for the micro vehicle becomes the "daily need" to industry and the community.This paper addresses the reality of the problem, associates the school and factory, lucubrates the design experience of Zhejiang Four-Star Mechanical Industries Limited Company develops a design method for new models, which possesses good practical value. This method works with the combination of positive and reverse engineering, refers such various aspects of the design as theory, approach, model and design process, which specifically including seven production process modules, such as the concept, design study, layout design, conceptual deepening, sample production, molding and external drumbeating. Meanwhile, the work pattern of concurrent and platform engineering is imported to improve the efficiency. Finally, the paper validates the design method of new type off-road micro vehicle.
