Different from it in variable-speed double-fed generator system, gearbox is no more needed in synchronous generator direct driven by wind turbine, which makes synchronous system more efficient, reliable and power controllable with less noise. As the cost of generation devices decreases and the control technique of synchronous generator applied in wind power develops, synchronous generator direct driven by wind turbine will become more and more competitive.Voltage and frequency generated by synchronous generator vary along with the wind variation, so the power must be dealt with before it is applied to grid. This paper researches in control method of synchronous generator direct driven by wind turbine based on the principle of optimum utilization of wind-energy, designs a control and power hardware system based on TMS320LF2407 DSP, develops control program aiming at making output power controllable, experiments and analyzes control system characteristics.
