During the tunnel and the underground project construction, the geological condition maybe changed and the actual results don't always agree with the investigation contents. The advanced prediction is able to forecast the ill logical conditions on the wall rocks in the front of the face, so that this technique can achieve the purpose of taking measures before ahead and controlling the risks of the projects. Because of the matters above, the advanced prediction attracts more and more attentions. There are many kinds of methods to obtain the tunnel advanced predictions, but, each method has its own merits and defects. There's no method that can make the prediction easy and precise. As for the GPR, the merits are that its manipulation is simple, its cost is low, there's little interfere with in the tunnel construction, and so on. But there are also some problems, as the maps which GPR gets will always be of multi-explanation, and the advanced prediction images may be disorder. Geology sketch, as another common advanced prediction method, has the advantages as simple equipment, convenient operation, little tunnel construction time consuming, quick data submission, low cost, and so on. But its available forecast range is short, and its request on the theory knowledge of the operator is high. This study develops the advanced prediction method by applying the merits of the two common methods (GPR and Geology sketch), so the practical compositive method is proposed here. This method can overcome the defects of the two common methods, and its operation is simple, it hardly occupies the tunnel construction time, what's more it can collect the information about the tunnel wall rocks roundly. The results got from GPR and Geology sketch are confirmed by each other, and the precision can be promoted. In this research, the quantities of datum are collected from the in-situ advanced prediction. The issue shows how to make advanced prediction, taking the fracture zone, karst cave, litho-logy interfaces, zone of rich water for example. That can provide credible gist, when similar geologic disaster will happen in the future.
