This paper is based on the research of classical contact analysis and Finite Element Method (FEM) contact analysis. The results calculated by classical method are more precise than FEM, and classical method is more convenient than FEM, but FEM contact analysis is widely used, because it can be applied to different kinds of contact problems. Both methods are used to calculate the contact results between simple shape bodies, the results testify that it is feasible to do contact analysis by FEM contact analysis. The load release mechanism discussed in this paper, its contact shapes are complex, including multi-surface contact, and plastic deformation occurs while the mechanism operates. It is difficult to obtain its plastic deformation by analytical methods, which need FEM to solve this problem. ANSYS is used to compute the plastic deformation of the Load release mechanism, some key points summarized in this paper should be helpful when using ANSYS to do contact analysis, and also some technical solutions are proposed in this paper to solve many difficult problems, such as elements discretizing, contact couple creating, etc.In the end, the effects of friction taking on the mechanism are discussed, modifications are applied to the mechanism, and ANSYS is used to compute the modification results. The results show that the effects of the modifications are very good. Problems of too large plastic deformation and hard to release are solved well. |
