The fatigue life and reliability of rapid freight car's bogie is one of the most important problems in railway speed-up progress. Bogie 8AG is remolded from bogie 8A by assembled with crossing-bar. Blaster and bogie frame, which endure random loads, are the key parts in bogies.This paper concluded the key points of blaster and bogie frame, represent the fatigue lives of blaster and bogie frame on the basis of synthesized analysis on static FEA,investigation of practical data and analysis of constitution. The way of stress testing and data processing was analyzed. According to the experimentation of residual fatigue life of bogie 8A (AG), dealt with the data and compiled stress spectrum, the damage-rate resulted was calculated by the stress spectrum. According to Miner rule, this paper calculated the fatigue life of the bogie in speed-up condition, set up fatigue life and reliability model basted on statistical Miner rule and accumulating damage-rate rule in long-life region. The distribution of stress in blaster and side frame while application was deduced.In conclusion, this paper looked forward the application of reliability in design and application of national railway freight cars, and then gave advices combined with life management for big parts of bogie.
