In the resently years, great progress has been made in the research on coagulate in the field of non-linear. The foundation and development of fractal theory, which discovered the unification of order and disorder and the unification of certain and randomicity, makes it possible to explore the rules embodied in these complicatied phenomena. It has been a hotspot in the scientific research to apply the fractal theory in the coagulate study and provide a new growth point for the study in the coagulate theory.Taking PAC and PFS as medicaments, the best added-quantity and the best reaction pH value have been ascertained through the experiment in which the added-quantity and the reaction pH value were changed.In the different reaction condition, the fractal dimension of flocculation body applling PFS as medicament varied from 1.145 to 2.293. When the adding quantity of medicament comes to the best, the fractal dimension should be controlled at 1.2477. If PAC is added, the fractal dimension of flocculation body varied from 1.0529 to 2.3517 and be controlled at 1.544 at the best adding-quantity point.To get the best energy distribution, the experiment was made in which the fractal dimention was used to guide the GT distribution. It was found that while PFS is applied as medicament the best GT combination is (G1 ,T1)=(52,4),(G2 ,T2)=(30.2,7),(G3 ,T3)=(16,9)and the fractal dimension should be controlled at 1.3288~1.3407 at the end of T1 stage, 1.6522~1.8022 at the end of T2 stage and 2.2900~2.3710 at the end of T3 stage. When PAC is applied as medicament the best GT combination is(G0 ,T0)=(178.5,40),(G1 ,T1)=(58,5),(G2 ,T2)=(30.2,7),(G3 ,T3)=(16,7)and the fractal dimension should be controlled at 1.3922~1.3958 at the end of T1 stage, 1.6676~1.6726 at the end of T2 stage and 1.9634~1.9829 at the end of T3 stage. In this way, the best turbidity value and energy consumption can acquired.The fractal dimension controlling parameter acquired from this experiment can be used in the coagulation on-line control system to get the the best turbidity value and the lowest energy consumption.
