In civil engineering, the stability analysis of slope is a very important problem. For improving stability of the slope in the highway design, the primary question is to choose a suitable analysis method and fetch rational parameter. In slope project, the traditional evaluating method is factor of safety method. This method treats various kinds of design conditions, index and parameters as fixed values, but it neglects the uncertainty of the soil properties parameter, and can not correspond to the steady real work state of slope. So there exist certain errors between the factor of safety method and real security competence of slope stability. Different from traditional factor of safety method, reliability analysis method considered dispersed quality and dependence between parameters of soil in stability analysis of slope. It considered all sorts of uncertain factors existing actually in project by way of reliability, so it can reflect the real safety characters of slope objectively. The uncertainty of the soil properties parameter is realized gradually by engineering field. Analyzing stability of slope by using the reliability method combine with stability analysis in slope engineer can reflect the fact of engineer better.This paper choose the experiment section in Jining-Fengzhen section from 208 expressways, carry on the density experiment of the roadbed material, collect and analysis other relevant data of the roadbed material. This paper set up limit equation of reliability analysis for factor of safety method in the stability analysis method of slope. By comparing the calculation results of piece departing method and reliability analysis method, we get the point that the reliability analysis method can reflect the safety and stability more objectively and exactly. It can further prove that among the research of slope stability, probability analysis theory and method should be combined with traditional factor of safety method, and complements each other, so that serving for the project practice better.This text still carries on the roadbed slope sedimentation observation tests to the experimental highway section, analyzes the relationship curve between rate of project and sedimentation quantity and the relationship curve between roadbed filling high and sedimentation quantity, calculates sedimentation speed. The test analysis and calculation results further proved the exactness of the reliability calculation method and the stability of the roadbed slope in test section.
