Overlong rectangular-ambulatory-plane RC frame structures are widely used in public buildings. However, the research on the analysis and design of this structure has not been developed, so engineers design this kind of buildings just by their own experiences. In view of this case, a systematical research on the analysis and design of this structure has been proceeded in this dissertation based on the engineering practice. The main contents are as follows:1. The long-term tests on the second floor and the roof of Hongze Culture Exhibition Center are taken during May 2004 to November 2005. The variation of concrete shrinkage along with the concrete age, the temperature and strain in the floor had been observed. According to compare kinds of formulas of the concrete shrinkage along with the concrete age in different codes and validate by the test results, the concrete shrinkage calculating formula is put forward and it can be referred to reference by similar projects.2. On the basis of available research results at home and abroad, the temperature and shrinkage stresses of the frame structure has been deeply analyzed. According to the second linear creep theorem, this dissertation extends the creep stress method of axial-tensile RC members to RC frame structure, and puts forward the analogism analytical method of the temperature and shrinkage stresses of RC frame structures, which is based on elastic continuation and plastic flow theory. The calculating result by this method is acceptably accurate.3. Some matters on elastic finite element analysis of frame structures need to be noticed, such as: simplified model, the methods of built model, the selection of kinds of finite element and calculating results.4. According to the finite element analysis, temperature difference and concrete shrinkage mainly influence the magnitude of frame structures'stress and displacement. The stresses distribution of the rectangular-ambulatory-plane RC frame structure represents clearly directivity. The middle spans of the...
