Study On Type Selection Of Interchange

The development of the social economy promotes the increase of traffic demand. The pressure of the highway and city road network has become higher and higher. The interchange, the traffic infrastructure that provides high-efficient transformation, will play a even big role in the future.Interchanges have various types, functions and characteristics. Compared with intersections, they have longer building cycle time, high funding, and longer distance for driver to pass. It is important to select the right form of the interchange according to the road properties, traffic flow feature, nodes, etc.The paper analyzes the history of the interchange in China and abroad. On the basis of some problems in its development, the paper makes reasonable classification of the interchanges as well as the factors influencing the selection of the types and forms of the junctions. Along with the process of the interchange program and design, it studies the junction type selection with its principles, factors, purpose, contents and procedures, provides the evaluation index system and its quantification method. Finally, combined with analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and fuzzy synthetic evaluation, the paper establishes a Fuzzy-AHP synthetic evaluation method for interchange scheme evaluation and gives an example to examine the scientificity and utility of the method.
