| Automobile aerodynamic characteristic not only has a direct impact on vehicle power, fuel economy, handling and stability, comfort and safety , but also affects the car's exterior style and aesthetic trend. In particular, in the auto body styling design process, it is very meaningful to strive to get the best aerodynamic performance. With the continuous improvement of performance requirements for vehicle, aerodynamic characteristic increasingly attracts the attention of automobile manufacturers, aerodynamic performance has become an important aspect of the auto market competition. Therefore, strengthening the study of automotive aerodynamics is not only important for enhancing drivability, safety, energy conservation and environmental protection, but also a crucial guiding significance for traffic safety.In recent years, with the increase in the holding of motor vehicle and speed of vehicle, various sizes of vehicle traveling simultaneously on the highway, aerodynamic interference between vehicles has become increasingly complicated. Meanwhile, with the development of computer technology and extensive application of CFD numerical simulation of the automobile flow field, a large number of related papers can be used for reference. But at present there have been very few study on aerodynamic characteristics of vehicles in row, overtaking and crossing under the plural vehicles running state. Pointing to the above difficulty , combining the item of National Natural Sciences Foundation, turbulence characteristic of plural vehicles running impact on traffic safety and its Control, in this paper , aerodynamic characteristics of vehicle during crossing event is studied, because it has an impact on the high-frequency vibration, aerodynamic noise, safety and transverse stability during crossing event; it provides theoretical foundation for automobile safety technology; the research conclusion may be also applied to road safety system control and it is of important significance for correct control traffic flow, reasonable control speed of vehicle, reducing traffic accidents and protection road safety. |
