| The property of tire hydroplaning on thin watery film will play an important effect on the safety of vehicle driving. It is necessary to investigate watery traction characteristics, the whole tire hydroplaning processes and its relationship with all kinds of other factors, such work will give direction to tire design and transportation.Based on hydrodynamic lubrication theory, the tire wet traction characteristics are analyzed with the consideration of three-dimensional roughness of road, the effect of rubber deformation within the tire/road contact, hydrodynamic action and squeeze action of water film. Keystones of elasticity mechanics, viscous elasticity mechanics, contact mechanics, continuum mechanics and relative knowledge are used to deduce the formula of rubber deformation. Taking the smooth road and rough road as basis, a study of the tire hydroplaning properties is carried out, the relationship of hydroplaning with primary height, incline angle, slip speed and road roughness is set up. Asperity load is also calculated, a new method is given to express the tire hydroplaning properties on rough road, texture direction of road surface action is discussed.At last tire hydroplaning property with the relationship with all kinds of other factors are concluded, a more accurate data is then provided for rational design of tyre tread and road asperity pattern. |
